Charlie Brooker explains how to report the news

Fascinating spot-on analysis.

Landscape magazine layout mockup

Landscape version is much easier to read and gets a bit more than a half page horizontally.

Magazine layout mocked up on iPad

Really rough mockup of a magazine page laid out on an iPad at its native resolution. Type is a little hard to read. I'll have to try again with some anti-aliasing. I'm sure it was not unintentional that an 8.5 x 11 page at 768 pixels width resolves to a height of 990 pixels. That leaves 34 pixels for a navigation bar. Perfect.

Filling in as camera man with Carol from CTV news. Too much fun.

Slightly disturbed at the subject line as I emailed this to a client:

When I was a kid this is was an orchard where I picked apples. Now it’s where I park and bank. #fuckprogresssometimes

I think this is a sign from the laundry gods. Or poor mgmt.
